Does the Church provide financial assistance (rent, utilities, etc.)?

At this time, we do not directly assist members with monetary needs, however, we are able to provide food and clothing at little or no cost. Heavenly Hands, our food distribution pantry, can be reached at (713) 729-0125, ext. 200. Those who qualify to receive aid are welcome to come by on Thursday, which is our primary distribution day. However, if it is an emergency, all are welcome to come by Monday – Friday, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Those seeking low-cost apparel are invited to visit our Blessed Again Resale Shop. Keeping the same business hours as Heavenly Hands, Blessed Again can be reached at (713) 729-0125, ext. 206.

 

Does the Church offer shelter or temporary housing?

No, we do not offer housing. However, we are able to connect individuals to organizations that can provide adequate, safe shelter. If you need shelter, call the Church office at (713) 729-0125 and request to speak with Sis. Betty Peacock.

 

When is New Member’s Orientation?

New Member’s Orientation is held every third Saturday in the Bethel’s Place Empowerment Center at 9:00 a.m.

 

How do I request a baby dedication or baptism?

Servant’s Heart Ministry receives baby dedications and baptism requests. Call (713) 729-0125, ext. 326 to discuss your request. Baby dedications take place on fourth Sundays at the 11:30 a.m. worship service. Before they can be scheduled, parents are required to attend two parenting classes.

Baptisms can be scheduled for any Sunday at any service. You can contact the Servant’s Heart Ministry or submit your request online. Children between the ages of 5 and 10 seeking baptism are required to attend two classes, so that they may fully understand the purpose of baptism. These classes are typically on the first and second Wednesday of the month.

 

How do I volunteer in ministry?

Servant’s Heart Ministry is the backbone of the volunteer effort of the Church. If you don’t know exactly where you’d like to serve, let them know what your gifts are, and they will connect you with a ministry where you can be effective. Servant’s Heart Ministry can be reached at (713) 729-0125, ext. 321.

 

How do I make a financial donation?

Every Sunday and Wednesday, there is an opportunity to give during service. You also can donate online. If you need assistance with your donation, please contact Dana Collins in the Finance department at (713) 729-0125, ext. 313 or .

 

How do I receive a record of my contributions?

To receive a record of your financial contributions, contact Jelissa Cunningham at or Elenor Clewis at .

 

Is someone at the Church available to pray with me?

Yes! Give us a call at (713) 729-0125 and let us know how we can pray for you. You can also submit a prayer request online.

 

Is someone at the Church available to provide counseling?

Men are encouraged to contact Deacon Clark Booker at (713) 729-0125, ext. 103. Women are encouraged to contact Sis. Priscilla Booker at (713) 729-0125, ext. 306. What classes does the Church offer?

A current list of courses offered in the Master’s Classes can be found here. Additional classes are also facilitated by the Men’s Ministry on Mondays and the Women’s Ministry on Tuesdays.
