Single Adults Living in Truth

The Single Adult Ministry provides unmarried adults an opportunity to advance God’s Kingdom through service, outreach, accountability and discipleship.  The ministry also incorporates fellowship and networking opportunities for single adults within our church family and community.

The leadership team focuses on several key areas of the ministry:

Spiritual Growth

responsible for teaching and look for outside learning opportunities like conferences.  This is a time to focus on individual person and help them to understand what the word says about their purpose during this time of singleness.  To help them understand that their focus should be on God and the things of God.  In that they will also learn that you cannot have that right relationship with man until you have that right relationship with God.   This can be done in Sunday School class or on a week night class.  The classes will enhance spiritual growth through real-life discussions of topics and issues pertaining to singles.

Mission/Service

research mission/community service opportunities for the ministry.  In developing your relationship with God, you learn that we are called to help build God’s kingdom.  That is not done in the confines of the church walls.  We must go out into communities to advance God’s kingdom.  It is through acts of service that many people are won.

Social/Fellowship

explore and coordinate a variety of social/fellowship opportunities and activities, keeping the various age groups in mind.  Creating these opportunities, show Christians that you can still have a fun filled life in Christ.  We just have to surround ourselves with like-minded people.  There should be a variety of activities that way no age group is missed.

Single Parents Connection

explore and coordinate a variety of social/fellowship opportunities for single parents, keeping the various age groups in mind.  This is a special group of people, so special activities have to be developed that will allow the inclusion of their children.  We are not only developing the single adult, but we also provide support for the family.

Marketing/Communication

responsible for creating and marketing information needed to promote the ministry and any event schedule.  Singles make up the largest body of most churches, but they are the least active.  You will have to try to come up with some creative ways to attract this group of people.
